Seed Drill Springs
Compression, extension and wire form springs used on seed drills and planters. We produce for the furrow opener, soil coverer, closing and seed box mechanisms.
About Seed Drill Springs
On a seed drill the job of the spring is to hold sowing depth constant. The opener shoe compression spring stops the shoe riding up as soil hardness changes; the soil coverer spring presses the closing part down with a steady force. When these two lose force, sowing depth varies across the field and emergence becomes uneven.
Parts in this group work in constant contact with soil and moisture. Because corrosion reduces spring force through loss of section, coating here is functional rather than cosmetic; galvanizing is applied as standard in our production.
Soil coverer, blade, hoe and hose springs for Gaspardo, Özdöken, Tarımöz, Köymak, İrtem and Kurt type seed drills are in our catalogue at their original dimensions.
Which machines it fits
The springs in this group are produced to the original dimensions of the machine brands below. If your brand is not listed, we still produce from a sample or from dimensions.

How it is made
Every step after coiling happens in our own plant; nothing is outsourced. This shortens lead times and keeps quality responsibility in one pair of hands.
CNC spring coiling
Formed in the 0.20–40 mm wire range.
Tempering
Stress is relieved and elasticity becomes permanent.
End grinding
Seating faces are flattened on compression springs.
Galvanizing
Surface protection against corrosion.
Packaging
Domestic and international logistics included.
FAQ
Sowing depth varies across the field — can the spring be the cause?
Very likely. When the opener shoe compression spring fatigues, the shoe rides up on hard ground and depth drops. Comparing the free length with the original is a quick check.
Are the soil coverer spring and the blade spring the same thing?
No. The soil coverer presses the part that closes over the seed; the blade spring works in the opener shoe group. They are separate items in our catalogue.
My spring broke — where can I find the same one?
The machine make and the part name are enough for most items. A photograph of the broken part plus the wire diameter makes the match certain.
What coating is used on seed drill springs?
Galvanized coating, because of constant contact with soil and moisture; corrosion reduces spring force through loss of section.
Can you make a spring stiffer than the original?
Yes. Spring rate can be adjusted through wire diameter and coil count, but the mechanism's stroke limit has to be considered alongside the existing dimensions.
Is there a minimum order for seed drill springs?
Quantity and lead time depend on the item; send it through the quote form and we will give you exact figures.

Cannot find the spring you need?
We produce to your dimensions in the 0.20–40 mm wire range, with no tooling dependency. A sample, a technical drawing, or simply a photograph of the old spring is enough.
